Arline Z. (Straub) Schreck
Arline Z. Schreck, 76, formerly of Main St., New Washington, died early Friday morning in the Crestwood Care Center after a short illness. She was born June 19, 1911 in Plymouth, the daughter of the late Howard and Ethel (Hatch) Straub.
Mrs. Schreck is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Gary (Martha Jane) Alfrey of Northglenn
Colorado; her daughter-in-law: Mrs. Robert (Marcine) Taylor of Shelby; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister: Mrs. Clayton (Dorothy) White of New Washington.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Larry and Robert Schreck.
Mrs. Schreck was a former employee of Shelby Mutual Insurance Co. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in New Washington. She was a former organist at First Lutheran Church in Plymouth. She was a lifetime member of Rizpah Chapter 153, Order of the Eastern Star, joining the Plymouth Chapter on December 8, 1929 , and serving as their Worthy Matron in 1935-1936.
Funeral services will be held Monday at the Turner Funeral Home by her pastor Roger Miller. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Eastern Star services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church and left at the funeral home.
