Arlene Charlotte (Long) Stevens

Arlene Charlotte Stevens, age 75, of 88 Park Village, died Wednesday afternoon in the Crestwood Care Center after an extended illness. She was born March 20, 1917 in Ashland, Ohio, the daughter of Milton and Grace (Smith) Long.

Mrs. Stevens was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Shelby. She was the Past President of the Ladies AuxilIary of the Shelby American Legion, O’Brien Post #326 and she enjoyed making ceramics.

Mrs. Stevens is survived by her husband, Clifford J. Stevens, whom she married on October 11, 1944; one daughter and son-in-law: Joe and Connie Stuckert of Ontario, Ohio; one son: Thomas Stevens of Daytona, Florida; a daughter-in-law: Carolyn Stevens of Ontario, Ohio; 4 granddaughters; 1 great-granddaughter and 3 great-grand sons; 2 sisters: Mary Guarino of Florida and Pauline Faulk of Las Vegas, Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and a brother, and one son, Edward M. Stevens in 1988.

Calling hours will be on Friday from 5-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. with her pastor, Rev. James L. Smith, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home.
