Aril “Fuzz” Argo

Aril “Fuzz” Argo, 81, of 72 W. Park Drive died Wednesday morning at his home after an extended illness.
He was born March 18, 1912, in Miamisburg to Eli and Mary Belle Staton Argo. Mr. Argo was a former employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad and Mansfield Tire and Rubber Co. He and his wife also operated a candy store out of their home for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Jenkins Argo, whom he married September 4,1935; four sons and daughters-in-law: Don and Virginia Argo of Shelby, Gary and Sandi Argo of California, Ron and Diane Argo of Florida and Rex and Donna Argo of Mansfield; three daughters and sons-in-law: Sandra and Jack Mount of Tennessee, Debbie and Chuck Eshelman and Penny and Jim Auer, all of Shelby; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clayton Argo of Shelby. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Heidi Mount and Mike Eshelman, and a sister, Ruby Wallace.
Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. by his son-in-law, evangelist Jack Mount, and the Rev. Steven Schag, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelby Public Health League and left at the funeral home.
