Anna M.(Morris) Moore

Anna M. Moore, age 87, formerly of Park Village, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.

She was born January 2, 1923 in Greensburg, PA the daughter of the late William and Anna (Kerr) Morris. Anna graduated in 1940 from Greensburg, PA High School. She was a former employee of Wilkens Air Force Depot and retired from Shelby Sales Book. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she volunteered in the kitchen for many years. Anna enjoyed traveling, playing euchre and other card games. She was a former member of Rizpah Chapter 153 Order Of Eastern Star.

Anna is survived by a daughter: Carol Calkins of Sunbury, OH; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: John W. Bill Moore in 1993 and by: 2 brothers and 8 sisters.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 1 PM at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Tom Snyder officiating. The Turner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. On-line condolences may be made to penwellturner.com
