Ann L. (Arcudi) Payne

Ann L. Payne, age 80, of 17 Fourth Street, Shelby, died Monday afternoon, February 8, 1999 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after a short illness.
She was born April 3, 1918 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Samuel and Virginia (Smarto) Arcudi. Mrs. Payne was a 1937 graduate of Crestline High School. She was a homemaker and had been a custodian at Dowds Elementary School in Shelby, for 12 years retiring in 1983. She
was a member of Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary society.
Mrs. Payne is survived by her husband, George Herbert Payne, whom she wed on September 4, 1937; a son and daughter-in-law: Tom and Bobbie Payne of Shelby; a daughter and son-in-law: Stephanie and Danny Ginter of Shelby; 4 grandchildren and spouses: Russell and Jennifer Payne, Kyle and Brian Fenner, Tony and Audrey Ginter, and Karol Payne; 2 great-grandchildren: Grant Fenner and Audrey Payne; 2 brothers: Pat and John Arcudi of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 6 sisters: Concetta Christini, Josephine Bender, Mary Sprague, Ethel Morgan, Lillian Cox, and Rose Payne Fairall; 2 brothers: Tony and Francis Arcudi.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where a Christian Wake Service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby. Burial will be in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic cemetery. Memorials may be made to Shelby Home and Public Health.
