Amy Jo (Seaman) Mitchell

Amy Jo Seaman Mitchell, age 26, of 412 Hammond Avenue, Mansfield, dIed early FrIday mornIng at the home of her parents, Robert and Sally (Swanger) Seaman, 8 Myers Avenue, Shelby, after
a five-year battle with Hodgkins disease. She was born July 20, 1965 in Willard, Ohio.

Amy was an employee of the Shelby Insurance Company and was an auxilIary member of American Legion Garrett Reist Unit #503 in Shiloh. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a 1983 graduate of Shelby Senior High School and Pioneer Joint Vocational School.

She is survived by her husband, Theodore (Fred) Mitchell, whom she married on January 12, 1984; a daughter Rachel Lynn Mitchell at home; her parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Marla and
Matthew Williams of Shelby; paternal grandmother Anna Marie Seaman of Shiloh; and 2 nieces.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Glenn and Lela Swanger; paternal grandfather Barry Seaman; and 1 nephew.

Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday with her pastor Rev. Lyle Hinkle and her cousin Rev. Norman Bloom, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.

Memorial expressions may be made to her parents to help defray medical costs or to the Shelby Public Health League and left in care of the funeral home.
