Allen E. Sexton

Allen E. Sexton, 69, formerly of Hilborn Ave., Tiro, died early Saturday morning in West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital in Sulphur, LA.

He was born December 23, 1918 in Richland County, the son of James and Nancy (Tackett) Sexton. He was a retired employee of the Ohio Steel Tube Co. and a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife: Ula (Kelley) Sexton of Sulphur; one son: Richard Sexton of Shelby; three daughters: Mrs. Jim (Mary) Sallier, Mrs. Lowell (Leslie Dawn) Johnson, and Mrs. Bruce (Janice) Neptune, all of Sulphur; three step-daughters: Mrs. C.G. Dugas and Mrs. Jeanette Moss, both of Lake Charles, LA, and Mrs. Saundra Leger of Sulphur; one brother: Lester E. Sexton of Indiana. 8 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, and 3 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife: S. Louise (Prater) Sexton and one son, Stephan, both in 1976. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, 1 sister, 1 half-sister, and 2 step-brothers.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Turner Funeral Home, where services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. The Rev. Claude Compton, associate Pastor at the Tiro United Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Shiloh American Legion.
