Alice (McGowan) Lea

Alice Lea, age 86, of 123 Mansfield Avenue, died Friday evening in the Heritage Care Center. She was born January 1, 1908 in Shelby the daughter of Charles and Ethel (Karr) McGowan.

Mrs. Lea, retired in 1971 as a credit and report clerk from the Shelby Mutual Insurance Company. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Marilyn Kinsell of Cape Coral, Florida; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lea in 1984.

Graveside services will be held in Oakland Cemetery at a later date. Memorial expressions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home , which is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
