Alice M. Will
Alice M. Will, 96, of Shelby, died at her home on Sunday, February 8, 2009.
She was born December 16, 1912 in Shelby the daughter of the late Ross and Nellie (Wolf) Gates. She was a 1930 graduate of Shelby High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby. Alice was often seen taking long walks around the streets of Shelby. She enjoyed working with the flowers around her house, however, she got the most enjoyment from attending sporting events. Football and basketball were her favorites.
Alice is survived by a daughter, Judy Will of Denver, Colorado; 2 grandsons, Aaron Will and Seth Will of Denver; a great grandson,
Kai Simon-Will; Her nieces and caregivers for many years, Linda (James) Miller of Shelby and her children, Kari (Trent) Douglas of Shelby and Kile (Kevin) Harman of Indianapolis, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank Park Will in 1978 and 2 sisters, Opal Krocka and Evelyn Gates.
There will be no calling hours. Private funeral services will be held for the family at the Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Wells officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. In lieu of flowers memorial expressions may be made to First Lutheran Church or Shelby Whippet Athletic Boosters.
