Albert N. Trine

Albert N. Trine, age 68, of 4229 Stein Road, Shelby, died Friday afternoon in Shelby Memorial Hospital alter an extended illness. He was born May 2, 1924 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the son of William and Mahala (Erskine) Trine.

Mr. Trine retired in 1986 as a truck driver for PPG in Crestline after 28 years of service. He was an Army verteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a former member of the the VFW and had served in the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby (Cole) Trine, whom he married on February 6, 1953, 1 son and daughter-in law, Lewis and Kaye Trine of Dallas, Georgia; 2 daughters and son-in-laws: Sheryl and Dennis Hall of Marshall, Michigan, and Heather and William Gwin of Mansfield; 7 grandchildren; 1 brother, William Trine of Marshall, Michigan; 2 sisters: Thelma Rocco of Marshall, Michigan and Dorothy Gordon of Coldwater, Michigan; his mother-in-law, Lucy Cole, of Marshall, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, and 1 brother.

Calling hours will be held today from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby and 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Tuesday at the Kempf Funeral Home, 103 East Mansion Street, Marshall, Michigan, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 P.M. with Stanley Ward Day, pastor of the Marshall Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.

Memorial expressions may be made to the American Cancer Society and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home.
