Albert I. Rieman

Albert I. Rieman, age 81, of 7689 German Road, Crestline, died Wednesday afternoon at his home after an extended illness. He was born July 23, 1910 in Ottawa, Ohio, the son of Charles and Mary (Kreinbrink) Rieman.

Mr. Rieman was a retired farmer and had served as a Vernon Township Trustee for 15 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Of Jesus Catholic Church in Bethlehem, Shelby Settlement .and was an honorary life member of Shelby Knights of Columbus Council #1968.

Mr. Rieman is survived by his wife, Mary (Niese) Rieman, whom he married on May 1, 1935; 2 daughters and a son-in-law: Eileen and James Gwirtz of Crestline, and Betty Eidt of Crestline; 1 son and daughter- in-law: Richard and Janice Rieman of Butler; a son-in-law, John Delarber of New Washington; 15 geandchildren; 13 great-grandchilren; 2 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Vincent Rieman of Crestline, and Carl Rieman of Ottawa; a sister: Elvera Schroeder of Galion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Felix and Edmund Rieman; 1 sister, Cecelia Niese; a daughter Ruth Delarber; a daugher-in-law, Linda Rieman; a son-in-law, Francis Eidt; and 1 granddaughter.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with his pastor, Father Jerome G. Niedermier, officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 8:30 P.M.

Memorial expressions may be made to the Church or the Crawford County Hospice and left in care of the funeral home.
