Hildred (Fackler) McMahon

Hildred Elizabeth Fackler McMahon, age 94, formerly of 10 Sherwood Drive, Shelby, died Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Crestwood Care Center after a long illness.

She was born May 10, 1914 in Cass Township, Richland County, Ohio the daughter of the late Porter and Anna (McLaughlin) Fackler. She was a 1932 graduate of Shiloh High School and attended Bliss Business College in Columbus. She retired in 1977 from the Gorman Rupp Company in Mansfield after 32 ? years of service. Prior to that, she worked at Wilkens Air Force Depot in Shelby. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Shelby and the fellowship Thursday morning group at church. She was a member of the National Secretary Society and AARP. She was an avid card player. She enjoyed traveling and working in the kitchen at the Richland County Fair for many years.

Hildred is survived by her nephew: Ross B. Fackler, Jr. of Hamilton, Montana; her nieces: Shirley Ann and Franklin Miller of Shelby, Lucinda and Charles Johnson of Shelby and Janet and Larry West of Shelby. Cousins and great nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ross B. Fackler, Sr.

Friends may call on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday, with Rev. Steven C. Bond officiating.Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to the ABC Center at First Lutheran Church or Alzheimer’s Association.
